Festive Chicken is a playable mascot in Crossy Road that was released in the Christmas Update 2014.
Appearance[]
Festive Chicken is almost identical in appearance to its regular counterpart Chicken, with the appearance of a white chicken, with orange feet and bill, and square black eyes. The only difference is that the Festive Chicken wears a red and white Santa hat over its crest.

When playing as Festive Chicken, the normal playing field is now covered in snow and the roads appear to be iced over, similar to Penguin's effect. However, there are additional spruce trees. This gives the playing field a "wintery" feel to it.
Occasionally, the player will come across a Christmas Tree in the middle of large grassland areas, which can be used to unlock Gifty. This tree can be heard as Christmas music will play in the background. Running into this tree will cause presents to be scattered around near to the Christmas Tree. Upon death, the player will then unlock Gifty.
Similar to its regular counterpart, Festive Chicken will occasionally cluck whilst walking. It will also drop feathers after death. After the Christmas Update, the Festive Chicken's terrain received an update to receive all of the features the Christmas mascots' terrain has.
How to Obtain[]
During Christmas, Festive Chicken can be obtained for free. If it is not Christmas, you can either purchase it for $0.99/€0.87, or get it from the Prize Machine by spending 100 coins.

- Festive Chicken was added in especially for Christmas.
- It is the first (and one of three) character(s) that has been available for free for a limited time.
- Even though Chicken is also free, it used to be permanently free, rather than for a limited time. However now it costs money or unlocked from the prize machine.
- The second used to be the Fortune Chicken, coincidentally when in gameplay both play on the snow.
- On the Festive characters icon the chickens hat is reversed.
